Z-Tejas 6th st West Of Mill 480-377-1170
If I ever get off probation, I might move right to Austin, Texas. Home of the original Z-Tejas. A first class operation, serving a large variety of upscale stylish southwestern cuisine. Their management dynamic is as good as it gets, which trickles down to their entire staff. They have a huge bar, with more tequila than should be allowed under law. I say they have the best margaritas on Mill Avenue, and a really good wine selection. The dining area is so comfortable you can
forget you're in a restaurant. Always remind the beautiful hostess, who seats you, Dennnis sent you. The large Texas sized booths are big enough for your entire family. The food is always great. I think they have the two best steak dinners on Mill Avenue, period. I love their appetizers, try the dumplings. Recently I have been having the shrimp on guacamole. Look for a waiter named John Gieb and thank him for his military service, while he calls you Sir . He might tell the story about how he arrived in Kandahar on 9/13/01. Dimitri, their general manager is aware of the business I send and knows how to say thank you. The Lunch menu has slightly less offerings than the Dinner menu, just take a chance. You can’t go wrong. There is a great Patio! If you are a local or a tourist, try this place you will love it. I do. Valet parking at night.
