I have historically known  Uno's as a Chicago style Pizza restaurant that serves other food. The owner, who, hired a really great staff, told me, he really had noticed the changes in me and the review. Thank you.

They employ over 10,000 people at four valley locations, so the service should be good. Chicago style pizza either thick or thin is really of no concern to a person from N.Y.C., but a selection of great appetizers, sandwiches, salads, special entrees, pasta, soup, steaks, kids meals, quick pizza, lunch specials and yummy desserts, are a bonus I am willing to rave about .The additional selection of beer, wine, hard liquor and smoothies become the completion of a dining experience that demands my attention.

I have to start with a description of the staff, Bill, Dan, Katie, Alison, Leslie, and my old friend Joolie are only part of a great crew I found at the helm of this folksy corporate dining experience. I held court on their patio for almost two hours, and the magic of Mill Ave. can really be exciting while listening to great music, and the occasional sound of a recorded raptor that keeps the over head bird free. This is a lesson the rest of the Mill Ave patio community should take note of. (Gordon Biersh and Coldstone, pay attention.) I had a perfect 14oz, ($12.99) strip sirloin steak with roasted vegetables that I covered with their garlic butter and achieved carbohydrate free heaven. They have other sides that they include with the four different sirloin steaks, including a shrimp surf and turf ($9.99-$12.99), The only other menu items I can rave about are the chicken thumbs, and the six different sandwich plates ($7.89-$8.49) I tried them both, although not on that day. I, did not taste every thing, I am only human. However, their six different dessert combinations ($4.50) have my name on them for future investigation. Check for your self, my waistline is currently being renovated. "Children, love their pizza," thick (ten varieties), or thin (eight varieties) are available. Small ($8.00) large ($16.00) they have all the prerequisite flavors including my favorite, anchovy. I left this restaurant satisfied that the nickels and dimes I had collected from small school children all over the world to pay for it was worth the trouble. Nobody, not even my editor tells me what to say about a restaurant, so take my word for it. They get my official "Okey Dokey".

Happy hour at Uno's is more like a gift to people who drink and eat appetizers. They have eleven great selections ($5.49-8.99) that are half priced from 2:00-7:00pm and then start again at 9:00pm until they close, Mon thru Saturday and then all day Sunday the same deal! APPETIZER HEAVEN! and the selection of $ 2.00 well wine and drafts are on the same schedule. What,  like I am being too nice? The truth will always set me free.

Thanks Bill, I enjoyed myself, but you will have to replace that tie. Stan definitely made a good choice hiring you. I forgot to mention Melissa! Sorry. Easy street and Valet parking.
